The Annual Giving program raises funds from alumni, parents, and friends of MSUM. Gifts received through the annual giving program provide the necessary resources for our growing needs. Annual giving supports student scholarships, program needs, university initiatives, assistance to improve and enhance academic programs and departments, and operating costs.
Your gift directly impacts the lives of MSUM students and improves their quality of education!
The annual giving program consists of the phonathon, the campus campaign, direct mail, corporate giving, and miscellaneous gifts received by the Alumni Foundation.
You can give an unrestricted gift which means it will be used where the need is greatest. Or, restrict your gift to a specific program or department.
Either way, you can feel proud knowing that your gift directly benefits students as MSUM.
Campus Campaign
The Campus Campaign is the fundraising effort on campus among faculty and staff. Money raised through the Campus Campaign is used primarily for student scholarships and program support. The campaign runs from February to April each year and aims to contact over 800 faculty and staff on campus.
Corporate Campaign
The Corporate Campaign is an annual fundraising endeavor that gives businesses within the Fargo-Moorhead area the chance to support the university through corporate gifts. Each year, several hundred businesses are contacted. These partnerships provide tremendous financial support to advance academic excellence at MSUM. Money raised in the corporate campaign is used to support various academic programs and student scholarships. Corporate philanthropy is an investment in our young people and our community.
Direct Mail
Direct mail consists of fundraising letters that are mailed to alumni and friends from the Alumni Foundation or from various departments and programs on campus. Generally the appeal is for a specific area of interest.
Phonathon
Each school year an enthusiastic team of MSUM students call as many alumni as possible. Last year we tried to reach over 30,000 alumni! The calls are a great way for current students to connect with successful alumni all over the world. Money raised through the phonathon supports student scholarships, student activities, and alumni events.
