MSUM’s dynamic School of Art teaches the basic principles of art, provides expert instruction in a wide variety of materials while encouraging the investigation of creative processes. We provide a framework for understanding the field of art in both historic and contemporary contexts. This knowledge forms the basic visual and conceptual vocabulary that is used to explore your personal expression while preparing graduates with a wide variety of exciting vocational opportunities.

MSUM's Roland Dille Center for the Art houses a regionally-renowned gallery which exhibits art created by regional and national artists, as well as university faculty and students.
