This is your opportunity to be a construction professional in training, demonstrating oral and written communication skills, problem solving, teamwork, good ethical practices, leadership and management skills. You and your team will develop a project from conception to completion—design, estimate, schedule, contract and administer the completion of a small commercial or light commercial project.
The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® will distinguish you in the job market and enhance your credibility and effectiveness working on, or with, project teams. As a PM student, you can submit one application form to join Project Management Institute (PMI) as a student member and take the CAPM exam at the member discount rate.

A Lean Certificate will enhance your knowledge and skills in methods improvement, quality issues and process leadership in areas such as manufacturing/service operations, systems analysis, project management, procurement, inventory and quality control. A Lean Certificate will prepare you for positions in procurement, logistics, quality assurance, process improvement, inventory and more.
The Lean Certificate will provide undergraduate majors (especially in Business, Management, Marketing, Computer Science and Nursing) a valuable set of knowledge and skills in manufacturing/service operations, systems analysis, project management, procurement, inventory and quality control. The MSUM Professional Management mentor program connects global supply chain management, operations management and project management students to an experienced professional who is eager to serve as a resource for personal and professional development. The mentor will help build a student’s professional network by providing guidance on enrichment opportunities for co-op, internship or full-time positions.
Project management capstone is a semester-long class that emulates a real project team with the execution of an embedded industry project or the analysis of an advanced project management case study.
