Humanities
A Humanities degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead is a great choice if you want an interdisciplinary program that lets you explore everything from cultural diversity and women’s studies to art history and film studies. The program's flexibility extends beyond how the courses are delivered. The program can be completed online, while students can pick and choose classes that fit their schedules and goals.
MSUM’s Humanities program includes many unique courses that are not available at other schools in the region.
Students can supplement the core courses by selecting concentrations in areas of interest within the topics of anthropology, philosophy, history, film studies, literature, and women’s studies.
With online options and summer offerings, the program offers the flexibility needed for students who can’t travel to campus or have other time commitments. The flexibility also allows for students to complete their degree in an accelerated timeline.
Students studying humanities qualify for unique scholarships like the Bahr scholarship, which is awarded to full-time students majoring in a humanities field and covers half to full tuition for one academic year. It can be renewed for up to four years.
MSUM’s Humanities program offers a unique and wide selection of learning opportunities outside of the classroom. Whether you call it engaged learning, experiential learning or just being adventurous, we hope you will explore the options that spark your interests, strengths and passions.
