Mathematics BA Scholarships
MSUM offers a variety of Mathematics scholarships for current and incoming students. Scholarships are listed below. Students can apply for university scholarships through the online scholarship application October 1-February 1.
This scholarship is awarded to full-time students who are declared Mathematics majors.
No additional requirements are needed.
This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student who is majoring in Mathematics.
No additional requirements are needed.
This scholarship is awarded to incoming transfer students who register as a Mathematics major upon transfer with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students must have completed courses equivalent to Calculus I and II at MSUM, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher in Mathematics courses applying to a Mathematics major, and have completed at least 24 semester hours of credits with an average GPA of 3.0 or higher.

This scholarship is awarded to students who are first-year Mathematics majors (including Math Education, Actuarial Science, or Math with a Computational Emphasis).
Please provide a list of mathematics related honors you have received or mathematical activities in which you have participated.
Attach a signed letter of recommendation from one of your high school mathematics teachers.
This scholarship is awarded to students who are entering their senior year and majoring in Mathematics.
No additional requirements are needed.
This scholarship is awarded to students in Mathematics.
No additional requirements are needed.
This scholarship is awarded to full-time students who are majoring or minoring in Mathematics Education for the purpose of pursuing a career as a math teacher OR who are majoring in Mathematics.
No additional requirements are needed.
This scholarship is awarded to full-time students who are pursing a degree in Mathematics with an emphasis in Actuarial Science.
No additional requirements are needed.
This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student who is majoring in Mathematics and has a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
No additional requirements are needed.
This scholarship is awarded to upperclass students majoring in Mathematics, who have a high GPA in their math coursework.
No additional requirements are needed.
This scholarship is awarded to full-time students who are majoring in Math Education and who have passed all Basic Skills MTLE Tests.
Attach a personal statement explaining why you want to become a classroom math teacher.
This scholarship is awarded to Math majors who have demonstrated a record of involvement in mathematical service and professional development activities.
Please submit a document describing your involvement in the MSUM Mathematics Department such as: math club, service to the department, math tutoring, math contests, academic conference or meetings, presentations, or journal articles.
