Taking part in the MSUM Honors Program provides you with several distinctive benefits.

Priority Registration

Honors Program students are able to register for classes earlier than others in their cohort.

Honors Program Scholarships

The Honors Program offers a number of exclusive upper-class scholarships:

Henry & Carol Raff-Stevenson Honors Program

This scholarship is awarded to students in the Honors Program who are in good academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher).

No additional requirements are needed.

Honors Apprentice

This scholarship is awarded to students who are in the Honors Program and in good academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher).

No additional requirements are needed. 

John Chisholm Honors Program

This scholarship is awarded to students in the Honors Program who are in good academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher).

No additional requirements are needed.

Distinction

Honors Program students are distinguished in a number of ways including:

  • Honors Program is noted on your Degree Audit Report (DAR), your official transcripts, and in the commencement program when you graduate.
  • You are awarded the Honors golden stole to wear as part of their regalia at commencement.
  • You are invited to exclusive program activities including a presidential reception and graduation banquet.
