MSUM’s men’s basketball team defends its Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Tournament title. From there, the Dragons will almost certainly head to the NCAA Division II Championships by virtue of their record during the regular season. Meanwhile, our track and field athletes have been enjoying a noteworthy postseason with a number of Dragons taking first place in events at the recent NSIC Indoor Championships.

MSUM welcomes its first Master of Social Work cohort, with students working to advance in their licensure, increase their earning potential, expand their skillsets, and even teach the next generation of social workers.

MSUM is proud to be in partnership with Project Infuse. The program's mission is to provide equitable and culturally informed mental health services within high-need pre-K-12 schools through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.

Under the Big Sky was the first immersive, on-site festival to result from the partnership between MSUM's EIT program and event production company, Show Imaging. 

Internships have been pivotal for international students like Emmanuel Kumi and Suman Koirala, setting them ahead in their careers. 

Elysa Christensen’s interest in MSUM was first sparked when she participated in the university’s annual Art-A-Fair. As a college senior, she now helps high school students find that passion.

MSUM has recently been named the 2023 recipient of the NCAA Division II Award of Excellence.

Peter Geib’s family history at MSUM spans generations, and his impact on the university is also a great accomplishment. He has significantly impacted thousands of students as a management professor at MSUM. He hopes to support continuous learning and further his contributions to MSUM as a member of the Foundation Board.

Over winter break, around 300 participants took advantage of MSUM's first-ever winter term. Students were able to take an online course at an accelerated fashion to get ahead of their degrees and lighten their course load during the academic year.

Physical Plant Intern, Gabriella Ruiz, has been a crucial component in launching the TREX Plastic Bag Challenge across campus.

Tara Baltes had a great experience as a student as MSUM, and is excited to give back as a member of the Foundation Board. She’s taken many of the things she’s learned as a Dragon, including the core values of grit, humility, and heart, and used them in her career as talent acquisition specialist at Bell Bank.
