Apply for the GI Bill

New students who have not used their GI Bill benefits before will need to follow these steps:

STEP 1:

1. If you are applying for benefits based on your service, complete VA form 22-1990.
2. If you are applying for benefits based on a parent or Spouse transferring benefits to you VA form 22-1990e.

You can find these forms or apply online at www.va.gov or www.va.gov/education/how-to-apply.

STEP 2:

1. You must then complete the Enrollment Verification form.

Students transferring to MSUM from another institution must complete a VA form 22-1995 online (www.va.gov/education/how-to-apply).

You must then complete the Enrollment Verification.

Continuing or returning students must complete the Enrollment Verification.
